Meet the business experts leading the Vilas County EDC

Vilas County Board Vice Chair; Supervisor representing District 12 in St. Germain

Carolyn Ritter holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in the field of education from UW-Stout. Her varied career has included teaching both youth and adults, supervising the educational services department of a computer software company, operating a tourism business in Vilas County, working as Lifestyle Editor for the Vilas County News Review and serving as the marketing coordinator for the Northwoods Children’s Museum.

She served for nine years on the Northland Pines School Board, and her work included oversight during construction of the new high school. She currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Vilas County Board and is a Vilas County Board Supervisor representing District 12 in St. Germain. She also serves on the St. Germain Chamber of Commerce Executive Board. Her board service has included a wide range of involvement including negotiation and contract work, policy and procedure development, supervision and marketing.

She and her husband, Ted, have resided in St. Germain since 1986, raising their two sons at the family’s resort in St. Germain.
