HUBZone Designation

Small businesses located in Vilas County are eligible for HUBZone certification. All federal government contracts require the contractors to meet specified levels of purchasing from businesses located in HUBZones. The federal government has a goal of awarding 3% of all dollars for federal prime contracts to HUBZone certified small business concerns. Traditionally, many government contractors struggle to meet HubZone purchasing targets.

• 10% price evaluation preference in full and open contract competitions, as well as subcontracting opportunities
